A simple but classy design, the invites to the wedding is just as elegant as the couple. The theme of the cards is nature with a mixture of mint with white.

The Intimate Mehendi – #sonamkishaadi

The oldest Kapoor sister and her ‘Rumored boyfriend’ kickstarted the Wedding celebrations with an intimate Mehendi function at the Kapoor House itself, with just the close family and friends.

Sonam’s choice (like always) of outfit left us completely speechless. She wore an Anuradha Vakil sharara with a heavy brocade border and intricate zari and zardosi work in the shades peach and gold and looked absolutely gorgeous.

The groom didn’t want to leave the bride behind and himself looked absolutely dashing in his dusky pink Raghavendra Rathore bandhgala.

While the Kapoor princess held a small intimate mehendi just for her family and friends, her official mehndi function took place at her residence at Sunteck, Signature Island, in Mumbai’s Bandra Kurla Complex. She chooses the theme ‘Hues of White’ for the Mehendi Party and needless to say all of B Towns Celebs came dressed in shades of white, but first let’s start with the bride’s outfit…

Dressed in classic white and gold chikankari by Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla, Sonam looked absolutely sensational. With rows of flowers on her hair and jhumkas with pearl beads, the bride-to-be makes a classic statement.

Here comes the big day, the day the two lovebirds, Sonam Kapoor and Anand Ahuja tie the knot in a traditional Anand Karaj wedding ceremony at her aunt’s Mumbai residence, Riverdale, at Bandra’s Bandstand and it was just breathtaking!!

With the red and gold Anuradha Vakil lehenga and the traditional jewelry, Sonam looks absolutely stunning as a Punjabi bride. She kept the makeup very simple and let all the attention be on her gorgeous headgear.

Her makeup artist, Namrata Soni said this about her look, “There’s tears in my eyes. I think she’s the most beautiful bride of our country; as delicate as a flower. It’s an extremely emotional time for me.”

Now let’s give some attention to the handsome groom. Anand Ahuja looked totally regal in a beige and gold Raghavendra Rathore bandhgala and safa! He chose to coordinate Sonam’s look with his necklace:

The After Party

Sonam Kapoor and Anand Ahuja’s reception last night was one hell of an event. It took place at The Leela in Mumbai after their day wedding ceremony (Anand Karaj). Every big name in Bollywood was a part of the guest list making it one hell of a Bollywood party.

Defying all traditions, Sonam chose to ditch sequins & wore a graphic Anamika Khanna creation and looked phenomenal. This was the first time we saw her letting her hair down looking absolutely ravishing!
